On July 31, 2007 the Board of Directors of Breath of Hope, Inc. launched the Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Awareness® campaign by writing to their respective governors requesting Proclamations designating March 31st as Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Awareness Day®.
Breath of Hope was overwhelmed by the response to our Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Awareness® campaign.
Each year, each state needs a request in order to issue a Proclamation or Resolution to have March 31st of that year Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Awareness Day. Many states will issue copies to each person who makes this request. Since 2008, there have been 33 states that have participated and issued Proclamations or Resolutions. Please help us for 2010! Our goal is to have all 50 States in the US proclaim March 31st as Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Awareness Day!
We have one goal, getting the word out. We believe that we succeeded because people like you have stepped up, wrote your Governors and made the difference. We would like to thank everyone for their efforts in making Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Awareness Day® successful and all those who continue this effort! If you would like to join our efforts for March 31,
